Seeing images that have been starred or commented on by others a folder has been shared with
Apparently, this has been rumbling on since 2018 but instead of resolving it Dropbox just locks the threads claiming to have resolved it! If they have I cannot find out how.
I have paid for Dropbox...
It may be what YOU expect. Absolutely nobody else expects this, as is evident in all the posts on this you have shut down over the years. Nor are comments any use if they can only be seen once you click on the images in question.
If I share a folder of images on MY dropbox account I absolutely expect to see which images documents or whatever have been starred and it is ludicrous to suggest something is 'expected' just because it suits you not to sort an issue.

One might say it's also ludicrous to expect a feature to do something that it wasn't intended or designed to do.
Starring a file or folder is meant as a way to mark it as a favorite so it's more easily accessible to you. It wasn't designed as a way to mark files for other users. If that's a feature you need then you might find that someone has already suggested it in the Dropbox ideas section where you can vote on it. If no one else has suggested it, you can start a new idea post.
I am having the same problem, i have used this many times in the past and it has worked, i share a folder and the client stars the elections and makes comments, then i can see her selections but recently it just works sometimes and not others, this is a problem and isnt because its not meant to be used this way because a lot of the time it dows work. I just shared it with two people next to me one of them i can see all the stars and comments and the other i cannot, please explain they both have different accounts to me.
Also when i send a client the files you give them this option to star and comment so if what your sayign is true and its not meant to be used this way then why are you making it available? Your resonce does not make sense to me?
