Sending large files to dedicated email address and have them added to the storage automatically

I was hoping to avoid uploading and downloading a 125GB file multiple times that I already have in WeTransfer. Other services allow for a dedicated email address to send large files to that will automatically add those files to storage. Perhaps you could convey that to your product management team as an enhancement request. Thank you for your help.

Hey christopherdawes - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this with us.

Are you familiar with the Dropbox Transfer feature at all?

If not, can you have a look and let me know if that would do the trick for you?

Otherwise, feel free to elaborate on your feature request so that we can make sure we're on the same page.

    Thanks!

Dropbox Transfer is for files already in Dropbox. This file is neither in Dropbox nor on my hard drive. It is in WeTransfer. What I would like to do is to be able to email that WeTransfer link or input it into Dropbox so that Dropbox can ingest the file directly from WeTransfer, cloud to cloud, as opposed to me having to download the 125GB file onto my hard drive then upload the same 125GB file to Dropbox, which will take 24 hours and a lot of babysitting on my part.

The file in question is over 100GB, so it couldn't be a file attachment to an email. It would instead be a link.

I see, thanks for the clarification and the additional details there christopherdawes - most appreciated.

In that case, can you have a look at our Email to Dropbox feature and let me know if it would work for you, if we were to adjust the file size limit for example, or if you'd like to see a different feature?

It's not just a file size that Dropbox controls. No email system that the message would pass through before reaching Dropbox would be able to handle a file of that size.

It would have to be a feature that would accept a direct URL to a file and then download that file from the source directly to our Dropbox account.
