Is there a way to share a folder with multiple emails at once?
If I want to share a folder with particular email addresses, is there a way to upload the addresses all at once or do i have to grant access one by one? I realize I can send a link by email myself, but don't want to do that.Solved958Views0likes1Comment
How can I remove a user from a Paper document that I shared with them via link?
Hello, I've a personal Dropbox account. I shared the link to someone. He opened it in his work account, instead of his personal account. Now the paper shows his work account as 'opened'. I uploaded an image for use in an HTML email, then shared it and copied the link. After putting the link in my email, and testing the email, the image will not show up. It is just a broken link. I have not put it in a shared folder because I did not want users who get the email to be able to access the folder and its contents, but the file itself is shared. The Email to Dropbox feature isn't working - nothing gets uploaded to my account.
Hello. I have a basic (free) account and am attempting to test uploading files via email. I am running a Mac (sonoma 14.6.1) using Mac Mail. I set up the the email to dropbox feature at my Dropbox settings, received a confirming email that it was enabled and attempted to reply to that email (as suggested) with an email that has a simple JPEG (~3MB) attachment. No file appears in my "Email Attachments" folder. No note from Dropbox suggesting there is a problem or confirming the attempted upload. No bounced email. Plenty of room available in my account. I have seen in another thread on this forum that there seems to be a recurring problem with this feature. Can anyone comment about recurring problems? Problems with "sendtodropbox"
Hello For al long time I use “sendtodropbox” to send emails to my dropbox. The mails appear in the map “Apps” and the submap “attachments”. Since a few days the mails I send come back as “undelivered mail returned to sender”. Now I activated the “email to dropbox” in my account where I got a new email address. Normally the mails should come in the map “email attachments”. Now the mails are not “returned to sender” but I can not see them in my dropbox. Can anyone help me? Can I see who has opened our Dropbox transfer link?
I have Dropbox transfer. Once you create a transfer you have two options, "email" "link". If you select email and send the link that way, Dropbox tracks who got the link and let's you know when they opened it. If you select "link" Dropbox transfer does not track who got the link, and sayd it was downloaded, but not by whom. Any way to make the link setting behave like the email setting? I can't upload files to Gmail anymore via the mobile app
Hey, So this happened a while back, and I did find another topic, but I never saw a solution. Basically, I can't upload anything through my phone from Dropbox to gmail. Other stuff saved on my phone work fine, but not this, and it's annoying cause I either have to wait to get home to do it, or take screenshots and do it like that. When you "share a folder" all users of that folder can see all of the other users email addresses. This is privacy issue. If I give 500 people the ability to "view" but not "edit" the folder, I don't want all these people to see the other people's email addresses. There is no reason for them to see them. There is no collaboration in the folder. I am just sharing it. So, to uphold someone's privacy the 500 other people that they don't know should not have the ability see other people's email addresses. There is no Dropbox plan, no option to hide email addresses among those that can only "view" the folder. This is a major privacy issue. Ideally, a simple switch should be put on the owner's dashboard (the person that is sharing the folder) to hide all email addresses so each person in the folder doesn't have the ability to see all the other peoples email addresses. Doesn't seem logical that this "switch" isn't already a feature due to privacy issues.2.3KViews1like6Comments
Share approval not working
I am having an issue with approving requests to share folders. 1. At our business (a photolab) we share folders of images of processed films with the customer who brought the film in for processing. We share anything between 20 and 50 folders per week. 2. Sometimes a user will want to share their folder with a friend, and we end up receiving a request to share the folder to a new email address. 3. It used to be that we would receive a Notification from Dropbox (or an email with a link) requesting access. We would click the "Approve Access" button - job done! Or if we got an email, we would click the link and a browser page would open with a dialog box and an "Approve Access" button, and again, click that button and job done. 4. This all has appears to have changed... for the worse! Now, the Notification "Approve Access" button no longer works, and for the email, when we click on the link, there is no "Approve Access" button at all, and instead, there is a create link button. This is not what the customer is wanting. They are wanting us to grant access to the folder. 5. Now, what we have to do is mess around copying the email address from the body of the email (there is no option to copy the email from the dialog box) and then search for the applicable folder on our computer, right click click it, paste in the email address and click share. This is more a cumbersome process that is much more prone to human error than the previous one. 6. Is this yet another example of developers changing stuff just because they can? If so, they need to change it back. The old way of doing it was much safer and far more convenient.2.2KViews0likes9Comments
