Sharing files and folders using dropbox stopped working.
I have been a user over three years without issue. I just upgraded a computer and it is running Windows 11. I am trying to share a folder, normal business, but "share" is now called "give access to" and an option is "specific people".
Two issues:
1. One user in my office here, who can normally see all the folders in the DropBox folder, cannot see the new folder at all. Refresh does not work share does not work.
2. A remote user is brought in on certain projects. Normally I right click the project folder, select share, and the user's email is an option to select. That series of actions does not appear. My team member is not an option.
I cannot share the work! Help.
Well, problem solved. Drop box stopped running and apparently did not start when I restarted my computer. Manually started the APP and everything seems to be working. Why the app stopped and took so long to restart is a mystery. The app is running, as I can see the icon on the up arrow on the bottom menu, and the share issue is solved when the app is running.
With the app not running, sharing and access to files for others is absent, only locally working.
Lesson learned: See if the dbox icon can be found on the bottom menu. If not, start the app manually. Check occassionally.

Hi KenGoat1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you attach screenshots of what you're seeing, while hiding any personal information and emails?
This will help me to assist further!
