2 years agoHi Stvno, could you try quitting the Dropbox desktop application from the menu bar, and then delete the cache folder to see if this helps?
Could you then try to add a single text file on the site to see if it syncs?

Unfortunately it didn't help. The App says still up to date and there are clearly missing files which are seen at the web browser but not at the finder on my mac.
Also i uploaded via web a simple text file in a non syncing folder and that wasn't synced either. - Hannah2 years ago

Thanks for the update, Stvno.
Do the names of the files that are missing from your Dropbox folder have any of the characters in this article?
If not, open the Dropbox app's preferences and go to the "Sync" tab > "Select folders to sync to this Mac", to see if you can find the missing folders there.

No...there are no characters from your list. The Folders are already set to sync but no new file is updating

Hi,
so apparently I found the solution over the weekend. The folders which are pinned to the quick access of the finder showed the status of each file at the moment of the reinstallation. So as I tried to make some screenshots I went through every quick access by hand and look what I found.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for the ongoing support!
