Syncing Dropbox with local PC
I recently purchased a new computer and am trying to get my Dropbox files on my local computer. Some are there but not many. How do i activate the download/sync process?

2 years agoHave you given it enough time? It takes time to download - what is it saying when you mouse over the icon on status bar?

Thanks Mark! I am not sure where you are suggesting to hold mouse over - in Dropbox app on computer? In Dropbox.com? in my File Explorer? In any case, it seems to be "starting" to sync; I do have a "gazilion files" on Dropbox. Also, I now have two separate sections of "Dropbox" in my local File Explorer, and they are duplicated! This doesn't look good!

Also, I am now seeing file directories, but not actual files in the sub-directories or directly under the Dropbox folder. Hmmm.

You need to mouse over the Dropbox icon on status bar - i.e. near clock

Thats expected. Dropbox creates directories first and then populates based on size order smallest to largest files.
