The dates of images and videos under Photos tab on iOS are in future millennia.

A few files are always on top of my imported images under the photos tab. They have a normal creation and modification date and are located elsewhere, not in the camera uploads folder. How would I fix this?

thanks

    Hey g v.!

Hope things are going smoothly! Just wanted to check if you still need a hand. If all's well, feel free to share what did the trick.

Hi from me as well, g v.! Is your Dropbox app still trying to duplicate all of your photos?

When it comes to those 3 files, can you try to save them to your local device, delete them altogether from the Dropbox app after that, and then upload them again? Do they still show the wrong date under your Photos tab?

Hi Megan, it was always like this. Clearing the cache and deleting and redownloading the app fixed it, but now I might upload duplicates of all photos. ohno. And three of the four future files have reappeared. so no. better would have lived with those files. I had removed some from Camera Uploads to different locations within dropbox, they may all reappear. Will need to spend time with a duplicate cleaner... or if I choose a different date, will the ones already uploaded vanish from Camera Uploads? Please update instructions in this app.

Hey g v., let's jump right into this!

Did you recently notice this behavior, or has this been going on ever since the files were uploaded to Dropbox?

Have you tried accessing the app's settings (under your Account tab) and clearing the cache? If not, I suggest you give it a go.

Once you do that, you might need to uninstall the app, restart your mobile and then reinstall it.

Let me know if this improves things, or not.
