Questions about Dropbox vs OneDrive
I have a Microsoft Surface, windows 11, iphone and ipad. I've had Dropbox for many, many years since the first computer person set it up. I still have it and am paying for it.
My new computer person has set me up for everything to go into OneDrive.
Are they backing up the same information? What happens to the data in Dropbox if I cancel it? Will it all be in OneDrive?
Thank you in advance for helping me out!

For the data integrity sake I strongly suggest speaking to your computer person to see what and how they have done this as nobody here can answer that with certainty given we cannot see the device etc.
What I will say, however, is that you cannot sync to both at the same time. So to make sure data is safe you need to choose one and use just that one.

Hi there, Arnieee, thanks for posting to our Community.
I'd have to agree with Mark on this and just add a bit of info about what will happen to your Dropbox files, if you cancel your subscription.
So, if you cancel your subscription and you have more than 2 GB of files in your account, once the account is downgraded, your account will become full.
You can read more about what happens when you exceed your available storage space here.
If you're below your storage limit, you can keep using your free Dropbox account as normal.
Let me know if you have any questions.
