Why can I use Dropbox back up only for files in my User folder?
What gives? I can only backup files in the \User folder? Thats not a backup program. It's a 4 legged animal with only 2 legs!!

Dropbox Backup really is a very, very limited solution - as you said, it doesnt do folders anywhere and doesnt do things like full system drive versions.
It used to in beta do any folder but that was removed.

Hi there, George B.35, thanks for your post today.
Indeed, with Dropbox backup, you can back up external drives and certain folders on your computer.
We really appreciate your feedback on this, though.
I've passed your comments along to our team and if you need anything else, please let us know.
You can also take a look at this article with FAQs about our backup feature for more info.
Thanks.

Interesting I tried to do this the other way around because I have my Dropbox folder on an external drive and I tried to backup my Desktop. Well that was that - I simply cannot use Dropbox Backup because it doesn't allow you to do that in that scenario. It's a shame too because I just ditched OneDrive.
