Will deleting the suggested people from my contact list impact the access to shared folders?

Hi, 

I'd like to delete the mail suggestions I get when I share folders since some of them are old and invalid. I'm not sure though what this will do to their access to shared folders. Will this impact their access to previously shared folders or will it really only delete the mail address suggestion from the contact list?
