I am uploading files from google Drive. I just uploaded a batch of PDF's but not all are showing in the files list. The batch went over my storage quote (2GB). I am now at 124% of my quota. No proble...

3 years agoHey aihand, I completely understand why you might be concerned with this situation, so allow me to clarify this as best I can and we continue troubleshooting.
Regarding the link to your files, this (https://www.dropbox.com/home) is a universal Dropbox link; you were able to access your files from it, because you're already signed in to your account.
As for your files, I'm afraid, if they're not in your Dropbox account, Dropbox doesn't have a way of knowing what happened to them.
Since they were automatically exported from Google Drive, there's a chance that the export wasn't successful.
If you're not able to see the files in your "All files" page in Dropbox, can you take a look at your deleted files page to see if any appear there?
Also, if you check your events page, do the files appear to have been added?

Looking at EVENTS, I create the google_uploads folder in my Dropbox at 10:34 PM - after adding Ian_.pst and Ian_.jpeg and populating those folders with uploads.
At 10:35 PM I batched 1700 google drive files. 54 appear to have successfully uploaded. As mentioned, Dropbox did tell me (after uploading all 1700) that my account storage was now 124% over capacity) and to buy additional storage. I did not.
Instead, I deleted a few files and investigated download options.
As I did this, within the same hour or so, my account shrank. From 124% overcapacity, to 60%, where it remains today.
What happened to the files?
