You need to be on one of the List views.

Hey crackeryaker, can you click on the arrow (dropdown menu) next to the "Modified" column header, choose "Size" and then try to find the "calculate size" option, to see if that works?

I am looking for the same thing - folder size. No "Calculate Size" feature.
Can you tell us if this only works with a certain browser?
I am using Chrome on apple laptop.
