I received an email about my space being full and my files deleted - how come?
Hello, i got this email stating i'm over space limit and i must upgrade before a specific date or files MAY be deleted. I guess it's a way to push up to pay for more.. Or not?

"Only files you own will be removed" sounds strange : what does it means?! I mean, files in my dropbox are mine, i guess..?!
For a while = you mean since last update in Sept 2025? That's not so long ago i'd say.. Is this for all accounts or only recent ones? Cause for an old one (few years old/unused) over the limit, i didn't get that mail at all.

All accounts, but it likely takes being over quota for a while before they start to warn you. When they plan to delete files, you'll get several email warnings before it happens.
