Issue with Storage Space
I do have an issue with my Basic Storage Space on Dropbox. I have a Basic Storage Space of 2.75 GB. All my actual files/folders are not more than 900MB. Dropbox insists that I use a space of 1.4...

Guys, I found it!
Go to Back Up All and all the folders are there. Once you delete them make sure you also remove them from the ''Show deleted backups'' file!
Thanks for all the help JOY !

3 years agoHi IoannisGeo, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Is it possible that you have a backup running on your account?
This will help me to assist further!

Hello @Jay
Thank you for your prompt response. There was one (auto-backup) that was mistakenly turned on yesterday when I downloaded Dropbox on another PC, but immediately (when I realised) I turned it off.
But even if a backup was currently being performed on my account, shouldn't those files been visible? (to be able to delete them)
The only files that appear in my folders are of total 900MB but Dropbox insists that 2.34 GB of 2.75 GB is being used.
Many thanks for the help!

The Backup feature is a separate system and doesn't show up in the Dropbox folder itself.
Were you able to free up your quota from your account after disabling the backup?

Unfortunately I was not able to free up my quota from my account after disabling the backup!
I even disconnected the PC that did the back up automatically!
What can I do to free it up?
