4 files are perpetually syncing on Mac OS, and I can't identify which files
Using Dropbox (version 212.4.5767) on iMac (OS X Ventura). App works fine. But when I pull down the menu from the Dropbox icon in the menu bar, it *always* says "Syncing 4 files"

Yes, I have already clicked View Sync Issues several times. The only option is “personal” and there are no issues
Also I reset hard links and permissions several times. No change.

2 years agoHope it’s OK if I jump in too, bachtenor. What I want you to try next is to open your local Dropbox folder and see if there are any files that are currently trying to sync in there. Feel free to also send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing.

Thank you for your input. I have looked through my Dropbox folder. Keep in mind there are 279,000 files. I have looked for a non-syncing file, and I see nothing out of the ordinary. All the files have the "synced" icon next to the filename in the desktop windows. But I know I have not actually eyeballed every file.

Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.
