Bring back the green 'synced' checkmark in the system tray.
In my Windows system tray (next to the clock), Dropbox used to show that it was fully synced by showing a green check-mark over the Dropbox icon. This was really helpfull.
If Dropbox was offline, it would show no overlay icon.
Recently (and according to Dropbox itsself) this has changed, the Dropbox icon now shows no overlay if it is fully synced, but to me, i constantly think my Dropbox is offline, instead of 'fully synced'.
So the idea is: please bring back the green 'fully synced' checkmark. Or -at least- make it an option to show it.

Your answer makes no sense. What icon are you even talking about? All I see (on my iMac) is the name of my file, and nothing to the right of it telling me if it has downloaded or not. Show us a picture please. What "icon" am I supposed to be seeing?
- I just noticed that MS Onedrive has a Green checkmark.
Also, you can select your Desktop to be part of your syncronized/backed up files.
I really hope that dropbox some day will return to compete with MS Onedrive one every level.. - Bring back the green check mark on dropbox icon in taskbar!

Syncing = yellow flashing icon
Synced = solid green icon
Offline = solid red icon
That should be easy peasy. Why sooo many users ask for changing??? Who at present use a white icon or a washed out icon???
This thread used to be in Dropbox Ideas section, making it the 2nd most upvoted idea of all time.
But somehow it got mysteriously moved to here: the 'ask the community' section... 🙄 Maybe somebody at dbox_ can move it back to the ideas section? Or are you trying to forget about this whole debacle ? 🤣 ( Nancy )
Even after ~7 years, I still would like the green checkmark back. The issue even got worse now, I regularly have some red overlay on my tray icon, indicating I have 'notifications'. In any UX universe, red means: something is wrong. Unsure why Dropbox UX is going against the grain so much...
