Set directories to be ignored in Dropbox via a given name/regex
I am referring to discussion "How to set all directories in Dropbox with a given name/regex to be ignored" (https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001016/how-to-set-all-directories-in-dropbox-with-a-given-nameregex-to-be-ignored-/830218)
vladgasan mentioned that the engineering team wants to tackle this feature. How far have they come?
Thanks,
waldalla

Hi there waldalla , and welcome back to the Dropbox Community - it's great to have you here! 😊
I am glad to see your issue is resolved - setting up rules to ignore certain files or folders can really help cut down on clutter ... especially with more advanced or automated workflows. It’s great to hear you were able to get things working the way you wanted.
By the way, I’m Theresa 👩💻, one of the community managers here at Dropbox HQ. I’d love to hear how you use Dropbox day to day — whether it’s for development work, backups, large projects, or something else entirely. And if you have any feedback or questions specifically about the Ignore files feature, feel free to head over to our dedicated thread and join the conversation there. We’re always keen to hear what’s working well and what could be improved!
Looking forward to hearing more,
