Changing account on the desktop app for Mac
Good morning,
I don't know how to change the account on the desktop application for mac.
In the past months I had put a work email and now I would like to link my personal account to access the folder directly from the finder but I can't figure out how to do it. I've uninstalled and installed the app several times but nothing, I've tried logging out of the work email account but then when I reopen the app it always brings this up again.
How can I do this? Thank you

Hi Carlo O! Welcome to our Community.
To sign out of the Dropbox app, and link it to a different Dropbox account, you’ll need to follow these steps.
Have you been following this exact same process? If yes, I’d like a screenshot of what you see when you try to sign back in.
Keep me posted.

I have had the free, 2GB accounts in the past. The last one I had I used with the Dropbox Desktop app.
I have just upgraded my personal free account to a paid, 2 TB account.
I cannot find a way to connect the Desktop App to my new Dropbox account and disconnect it from the old account.

Hey peternelsonsaratoga, thanks for posting to our Community today.
I moved your post to a thread with some instructions about what you're trying to achieve.
Can you try Nancy's solution, to see if it helps?

Hi -
I tried it but my issue is that when the Dropbox desktop app loads, it has remembered my old login credentials. It executes the "Starting ..." process without prompting my to provide credentials, and then I see the message "Your files are up to date".
It's almost like the "remember me" flag has been set and I can't disable that.
To be clear, there are no errors being thrown or any unusual behavior. It's simply that the Desktop app is getting past settings at start up and I can't intervene to login with the credentials for my new, paid account.

Hey peternelsonsaratoga, what do you see when you try these steps, in order to access the app's preferences in order to sign-out of the app?
You'd need to click on the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi, and follow the desired steps there.
