account access
110 TopicsI need to gain access to an account of a friend who is disabled
I have an old laptop (Win10) that belongs to a disabled friend (stroke victim). His wife asked if I could pull photos from his Dropbox on that laptop. When I first connected to my home wifi, I saw his files but didn't have time to pull them. I later tried but the laptop lost access to Dropbox (I suspect updates to Windows may have caused the problem). He's since lost access to his original email account. What would his wife need to do to gain access to his Dropbox? She'd like to pull the photos he had stored Thanks Tom89Views0likes8CommentsCouldn't start Dropbox error on Mac15.5

I have 2 basic accounts, with different email addresses, used for different purposes. I have a new PC and downloaded the Dropbox app. Unfortunately, I opened up the wrong dropbox account in the app. I would like the folders from the other account on my File Explorer, however if I try quitting or even uninstalling the app, each time I log back in, the previous wrong account is automatically logged in. How can I forget that previous account, and view it on line only, have have the second account open in the app on my PC? ThanksSolved246Views0likes8CommentsI can't open my Excel files via the mobile app and 2FA keeps saying the code couldn't be sent.

I followed the steps & ticked don't ask again but Dropbox a) didn't open the file & b) when I tried again the same thing happened again. I went > Settings > Dropbox > force stop > clear cache > clear data When I restarted Dropbox & tried to sign in I got a message something like Unable to send 2 factor authentication? I uninstalled Dropbox, power cycled my phone, reinstalled Dropbox & now I get the message Sign in failed Unknown error, please contact Dropbox customer support I have a basic account.
