Dropbox Desktop App installs fine on my Win 11 PC. Unfortunately, I'm unable to sign in to it. The error message reads: "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page" and the 'link' appears to point to something that includes dropbox-client://o-auth2/?code=........ I've tried several 'clean installs' as detailed on the Dropbox site, but without success. Dunno if I'm doing something wrong, or need to install/modify an app. Any advice much appreciated...;-)Solved56Views0likes7CommentsDesktop app can't connect to account via the browser connection
I open the desktop app, press the button that sends me to the web browser to connect with my account, it appears that i m logged but it always fails to connect. It appears (in spanish) "The previous session was interrupted. Try again". I reinstalled the app, changed web browser, turned my firewall off but nothing changes47Views0likes2CommentsI can't sign in on Safari, but I can sign in on Firefox

I have recently changed laptop so am trying to add Dropbox to my desktop as before. Every time I log in I get the error "there was a problem completing this request": I have changed my email address, password, restarted my computer multiple times but still no luck. I have tried four different times to install and uninstall the dropbox installer, and still no luck. I have gone in to my account and de-linked all connected devices (I'm on a free plan so know I am limited to 3 devices), but that hasn't worked either: Finally, I know it is a problem with my actual user account as I managed to log in with a different username and password for a different dropbox user and it worked fine (all deleted and uninstalled now). Praying some can help, ideally someone who works at Dropbox, to help me get up and running as the desktop function is essential for my work. Thank you!Solved11KViews2likes14CommentsI can't log into the correct account in the Dropbox desktop app on Mac OS
Application Affected Dropbox Device Macbook Pro Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 237.4.5655 Question or Issue I have deleted and reinstalled the app so many times, and each time I reinstall it, it is logged into an old account I cannot log out of. The app is not in my taskbar for me to go to the preferences and log out. When I download the app, I want the login option to come up, but it doesn't. It won't let me open the app from Applications either, only in Finder.67Views0likes2CommentsI see a new empty Dropbox account after reinstalling macOS Sequioa.
Application Affected Dropbox .) Device iMac Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (sequoia) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Hi. I had to re-install sequoia and consequently everything else. The dropbox desktop installation invents some strange apple related account which is empty - and I can't connect it to my existing account . This happens even when I'm logged in online and use the option to instal there under account data or if I just download the dmg after a search elsewhere. I'm at a loss as to what to try next. All suggestions appreciated56Views0likes2CommentsHow can I remove one device from my Basic account, in order to add a new one?
I have a basic account and recently bought a new laptop that I want to sync to my account. I currently have my phone, desktop, and old laptop synced. Since the standard account only allows 3 devices, how do I remove my old laptop and add my new one?78Views0likes2Comments
