Debian Trixie is expecting an InRelease file

Operating System
Linux Debian 13 - Trixie

Dropbox App Version
v231.4.5770

I can see a Release file at Release file

Debian is expecting an "InRelease" file as well as per this message when updating with apt:

Error: Audit: Repositories should provide a clear-signed InRelease file, but none found at http://linux.dropbox.com/debian/dists/trixie/InRelease.

It should be just a matter of adding the appropriate file in the same folder.

This error is stopping the app to update properly.

  • Hi JLozano,

I've spoke with the team and they're aware of the issue but we don't have the capacity to work on it as this isn't an officially supported linux distro.

At this point, I think manually upgrading would be the best action.

In order to replicate the error you could run on Debian Trixie:

    sudo apt update --audit

    Hi JLozano,

I've reached out to some of the team internally so see if we can find out more for you. I'll update as soon as I have more information.

Nah, the best action is what I've already done.

To look for another cloud provider.
