is there an issue with the latest vesion?

cant sign in, reset password, tried different versions on android (I save them)

none work, I log in and it messages me that theres a problem.  it sends a

message to my email "did you try to log on, was it you" I say yes.  retry.. same

problem

  • Hey Rubicon, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you on the latest version of Android?

Can you also send me a screenshot of the error message you're getting when trying to log in?

And if you uninstall the app, restart your device and then reinstall from the Google Play store, do you see the same?

    Keep me posted.

I did everything as a tech would.  reboots, clean installs, older versions,  standalone installs,

    google play install.

I gave up on dropbox, but today I thought i'd try one more time.  installed from google play,

and signed in.  it tried to upsell me... but I only use 3 devices, which it showed 1 laptop and my original phone.

Then it listed my same phone again as if I had 2 same phones?  I deleted the original phone, it installed

as it should.  Configured.  Now my issue here is that I didn't even have 3 devices, only 2, and the second being

a phone and honestly, dropbox has to have some unique identifier on each device, so why list my phone twice

    and block install?

The original problem was this, (as i never stated) ... The app wasn't working correctly,  viewing files was fine, but when

viewing the left most icon "home"  it would blink to show pictures, then crash. I used it for transferring files on the files

view icon, no problem, but it was an app failure somehow.  I first tried to install over the current app, then removed, then installed

from google play, it wouldn't sign in.. Told me my email and password were incorrect.  That was not true, failure number 2.

that remained the problem as I started using google drive and removed dropbox.

Now another thing is that if I delete 2gb of files, the useage never goes down.  it only goes up.  yes i delete trash too on the

website.  its like you want to max me out and only raise that number.  I'll be watching.  any more shady sh*t  and i'll be leaving.

    thanks for you help.

Hi Rubicon, sorry to jump in here!

Do you have a ticket number reference by any chance, so I can locate it on our system?
