Guys, I've noticed the bug is gone here on Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS o Gnome 46 and Wayland. I just started my notebook and the icon worked flawlessly. If I encounter another bug I'll relate it here.
This is the version where it started to work:

Dropbox daemon version: 212.4.5767
Dropbox command-line interface version: 2024.04.17God bless you all!

The Dropbox app is basically what creates the Dropbox folder, and it's necessary for the files to get synced; without the app, the Dropbox folder is just a normal folder on your computer.
Can you check the steps in this article, to see if they help you uninstall it?

Nothing happens when I click, right or left, the icon. As I said before , the icon does nothing. Therefore, I can't uninstall from there.
Since I've never had the app , I don't know how the folder was created. And when I move a file or folder to the Dropbox folder, it shows on the website, and on the files/folder with a green check mark. Have you always had an app? I used Dropbox years ago, and put files in the Dropbox folder, and they showed on the website as backed up. But perhaps they didn't sync .

Thanks for the reply, Kay39.
If you're looking for some kind of UI for the Dropbox app, the only thing you'll find is the sync history/preferences tray window, which should open when clicking on the Dropbox icon in your system tray.
But the app is indeed necessary for the files to sync, i.e. get uploaded to your account.
Just to confirm, are you having issues with the commands in the article on how to uninstall the app?

The instructions said to go to the App Center of installed apps, but it said that it was not installed. I've just heard from someone else on your help team with instructions using the terminal. He asked for the results after I ran his instructions, and I have just sent them to him/her. It showed Dropbox was already installed and up to date.

I have been looking for GUI, the only kind of apps I've ever seen or used. But as I have said, clicking on the icon in the apps does nothing, neither does right clicking an saying "new window".

I did a test, created a document tot;ed TEST, moved it into the Dropbox folder on my computer, and now it appears, properly, under my Documents/Personal Documents/TEST on the website. Whether it is syncing or not I do not know.
