Reinstalled the Dropbox app and it wants to rename my Dropbox folder
Sadly, I had already downloaded another and have a problem -- instead of picking up my old dropbox folder, the installer wants to rename it. I'm not sure what to do now. except reboot in the middle of the installation process. Sounds fun, eh?
Unable to install the desktop app on Fedora 41.
I need to install the Desktop App for Selective Sync. I've downloaded the Fedora rpm and installed it. I installs a filemanager. When I click on the 'open dropbox app' the screen blinks and is redisplayed. What are the steps for installing the Dropbox app? Thanks
Dropbox in Linux 32 bit unable to download the proprietary daemon
I have an old 32 bits computer in which I installed Linux LMDE 6 (the latest 32 bit version of Linux Mint). The OS comes with a 32 bit version of Dropbox version 2020.03.04 that can be installed through the software center or through: $ sudo apt install dropbox When running the application with: $ dropbox start I get the message: Starting Dropbox... The Dropbox daemon is not installed! Run "dropbox start -i" to install the daemon Then I run: $ dropbox start -i and a window opens with the message: "In order to use Dropbox, you must download the proprietary daemon", and I click in 'OK' But then it fails to download the proprietary daemon, giving the message: "Trouble connecting to Dropbox servers. Maybe your internet connection is down, or you need to set your http_proxy environment variable." Then I downloaded the latest Debian 32 bit package I found in https://linux.dropboxstatic.com/packages/debian/dropbox_2024.04.17_i386.deb, installed it, but the problem to download the daemon still persists. Finally, following some tips in the internet, I tried to download the daemon manually, using the command: $ wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86" and I get an ERROR 404: Not found. I concluded from this that the 32 bit daemon is not longer available at the Dropbox repository. Is it possible to obtain a 32 bit daemon anywhere else? Are we cursed to not use Dropbox in 32 bit Linux anymore? If the 32 bit daemon is no longer available, why 32 bit Debian packages are still maintained?
Error after installation when Dropbox starts creating a "Dropbox" dedicated folder. (Windows 10)

After trying to reinstall, clear cache, AppData, all Dropbox folders, and so on, I still get the same error after I successfully install and log in to Dropbox(during the process of Dropbox folder creation). Hi there, Dropbox does not complete installation on a new Win 11 install that has been fully updated. This is the latest error code: I've tried different things for 2-3 days no and nothing has worked. I've rebooted, etc ad nauseum between each attempt: Normal install Normal install, run as admin Offline installer Offline installer, run as admin Offline installer run as admin with all antivirus/firewall turned off I'm in China, so tried all the above with and without VPN turned on. Any thoughts?
Dropbox Plus - having troubling signing into my account when using Android devices.
I have multiple devices currently linked to my Plus account - 8 currently - but new devices especially Android are having trouble logging in. Either states user info invalid or it won't accept the 6-digit security code used for 2 step verification. But Apple devices don't have the issue. Same log-in and password. Is there a setting I have got wrong or is it more likely to be the device type or settings being the issue?
Desktop app installation on Windows 10 failed to start
Using Windows 10 in boot camp, trying to reinstall the desktop app but keep getting the installer failed to start message. I went through and found various instances of dropbox still showing which seems that the uninstall did not complete properly. Is there a cleaner tool that can ran to reinstall the app again?
