Dropbox fails to install on my new Mac M4 running Tahoe.
I've tried multiple time to install dropbox using both the regular install and the offline install. I enter my password and then get this error (and if I drag the dmg to applications, I just get a shortcut to the installer). I reviewed this thread -- same problem, no solution. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Thanks for posting here, mtncat, and welcome to our forum.
Are you, by any chance, on the free Basic plan? If yes, do you see 3 or more connected devices under your Security tab > Devices? I'd just like to make sure that you're not hitting the limit that's mentioned here.
Other than that, do you have any antivirus/firewall (or other security) programs that could be interfering with the installation of the Dropbox app?
Let me know, and we’ll go from there.

Hi Nancy--thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I'm on a basic plan. No antivirus/firewall/other security. Devices above.

Hey mtncat, let me jump in here!
As a first step, keep in mind that I noticed on your screenshot that you currently have 3 devices connected to your account. In order to be able to sign in to this new device you'd need to follow the steps that my colleague, Nancy provided earlier.
With that being said, I don't think that would prevent you from installing our desktop app in the first place. Can you try an advanced reinstall following the steps provided here?

Hi Megan -- I've unlinked all devices just to cross that off the list of potential problems (screenshot below and then i tried an offline install, same error). I'm looking at the advanced reinstall link, and although it says that it provides instructions, I don't see any actual instructions (screenshots attached). Should I be performing an uninstall or are there other instructions that are supposed to be here?

Hey mtncat!
Here are the steps for your Mac device. Keep in mind that if the device is new, and since the app isn't installed you might need to skip 1-3, and proceed with the rest.
If that doesn't resolve your issue, I'll be happy to send you an email in order to investigate further. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you, but that still didn't work unfortunately.
