Dropbox desktop app is running, and is uploading files, but not downloading to my Mac

Thanks for responding, Mark. The ticket number is #25287462.
Dropbox does not appear on the status bar (I assume you mean the menu bar at the top of a Mac) even though it's open.
When it did appear, I could see that it was syncing. I was signed in. It disappeared after I signed out and quit Dropbox and then reopened Dropbox. A couple of times, it has randomly reappeared, but it is not on the menu bar now.

If it isnt at the top it isnt syncing, for whatever reason, I dont know.
I'm not sure what Dropbox support have done with you (I am not an employee) but have you tried https://help.dropbox.com/installs/advanced-reinstall ?
Also I assume Dropbox is a standard install - i.e. no symlinks/junctions/not on a network or external drive etc.?
