1 month agoHey frankinthebox! Thanks for your post.
When saying that you’ve tested this with multiple apps on your Android TV, do you mean that you’re having the same issue with other third-party apps that are irrelevant to Dropbox?
If you’re not already signed in to Dropbox on another device, like a mobile phone for example, can you also give that a go and let me know if you’re having similar issues there?
Finally, I was able to find your ticket in our system and I’ve left an internal note for our team, as well.
Let me know, once you have more info.

Hi Nancy,
Thank you for your reply.
We have multiple TVs in the house that all experienced the issue at the same time.
When I said multiple apps, yes I was referring to multiple third party apps that utilize the Dropbox API to browse files such as CxFile Explorer
As you can see from the screenshots from my original post, or the video I attached in ticket #25949579, it happens during the Dropbox authentication process to give the 3rd party app access.
It happens in multiple 3rd party apps and across multiple TVs and multiple Dropbox accounts.
Dropbox works fine on my mobile phone (IOS and Android) and desktop, without issue. This is just happening on the Android TVs and just started a week ago.

Thanks for sharing more details here!
In this case, I recommend continuing via ticket directly, since some account visibility may be necessary in order to look into this further.
I can see that one of our support agents has already reached out to you, so they’ll continue with the troubleshooting.

I want to provide an update which I believe is the root cause of this issue for others that come across this post.
The point that it is failing I believe is part of the Dropbox's OAuth flow which runs under Android System WebView .From this post:
They reference a new certificate rollout happening:
https://dropbox.tech/developers/api-server-certificate-changes
If that post is correct, all 3rd party apps will need to update to the newer Dropbox SDK to make sure of the new certificate.
