Duplicate Dropbox locations after update
The Dropbox accounts at our office updated last week and made a new Dropbox directory with all our files, but the old location and files still remain. The folders in the old location will sync to Dropbox when changed but do not have any of the Dropbox menu options (ie: Version History, Copy Dropbox Link, ect). How can I disconnect the old location when it's not recognized as connected?
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Katie!
I'm glad that with Jay's help we were able to figure this out.
You can read more about symlinks and this hidden Dropbox folder and instructions on what to do, here.

Thanks Megan, I still don't see an option to upload a screenshot.
I have been saving, it seems, to the old Dropbox folder and therefore don't know whether everything is updated in the new Dropbox folder (which obviously wasn't synching as usual since I didn't even know of the existence of a 'new' duplicate of the entire Dropbox folder) residing somewhere hidden on this computer (I have 4 devices using DB). Advice?

If you compare the old Dropbox folder (the one you have been updating all this time) to the new one that you located from the preferences, do they have the same files?
And how about your account online? Do you see the same files that the "new" Dropbox folder has?
