File names are cut off on the Dropbox site
How is it possible for an app this old to still not allow a user to alter the field length?
20 odd characters is grossly insufficient for anyone with real organisation habits. Why can I not simply see longer file names? Why? What is the justification for this?
Take myself, a 3d modeller. I constantly have files that are categorised by project/object/component (often with more additions like side or versions).
It's maddening. We're nor working in 1024 resolutions anymore, we've all got second or third monitors. Screen real estate has never been higher. So why are we stuck with this archaic restriction? Every website I go to can adapt to window size but Dropbox is acting like it's still 2007.
If this isn't fixed we're going to stop paying for it.

Hi Hannah ,
No, there are no column separators appearing. So I cannot resize the columns. Same as what the other person reporting this problem already mentioned.

Hey EvertA, thanks for the nudge here and sorry to see that you're having this issue.
When hovering over the column headers line (the line with the "name", "modified" and "size" options) with your mouse, do the column separators appear for you?
You should be able to adjust the width of each column with those separators.
I tested it on my end and it works for me, so can you check and let me know if you're seeing a different behavior?
Make sure to also try private browsing, to see if that makes a difference.

Has this been solved already? I'm facing the same problem with a folder that was shared with me. Using windows 11, doesn't matter which browser I try Chrome, Firefox, Edge, ...
It shouldn't be that hard for Dropbox support to reproduce this issue.
Look at all the whitespace, but no way to see the full file and folder names which unfortunately all start the same...

I completely understand, Mkojiro.
I just emailed you and we'll continue there.

Absolutely. It's annoying me greatly.

That's pretty strange indeed, Mkojiro.
In that case, can we send you an email, so we can investigate this further?

Yes, I've tried painfully slowly trying to find anything that I can interact with. Nothing on either browser.

Just to confirm, you're hovering over those options with your mouse, right?

Thanks again. Tried it on Firefox (top) and Chrome. Neither has any 'bar' to move. They are oddly different. Chrome gives much bigger space for some reason though, but still no ability to adjust.

I tried to highlight them better here, let me know if that's not what you see on your end.
Make sure to try other browsers or a private browsing window as well.
