Hi! I'm a MacOs user As the topic says, the APP dropbox not working anymore when I travelling to China even with a working VPN, can anyone help me with this? The VPN working for google, YouTube and Gmail and everything that are restricted in China, but the dropbox app are just not working!!! I tryied to restarting the laptop and download newer version of dropbox but it still not working, I can't delete the dropbox because I got 700G that are super important for my work and I need it through the app not the web because many of my other app are connected to Dropbox app, so if I delete dropbox it will crush with the previous files from those app and my project folder will be broken!! WELL it's already crush for some app because can't access to the dropbox folder. I know it's a internet issue but can anyone help me to fix it plzzzz??? How can I expand the left sidebar width. I have many levels of files and I can not see the names of folders that I want to move files into. As you can see below, all I can see is the first letter of the folder "A" and there are several of them. I want to be able to expand the left sidebar so I can see the names of those folders and not just the first letter. I was able to do it before, but not now for some reason. Hey, guys. Long-time Dropbox user, but perhaps not for very much longer. Every time I try to go to Dropbox in the last couple of days, it is unresponsive. * No matter what browser I use * No matter which part of the website I try to access (it took 20 minutes to update a payment method) * Uploads (65 files, 15Mb each) estimated to take "days." Completely hangs. * Speedtest.net reports that my upload speeds are close to 1Gb. * Bitdefender has dropbox.com whitelisted. * I'm on ethernet connection... not WiFi. So I use Dropbox paper EXTENSIVELY and the new upgrade is not working my way. I get that the Paper is now a part of the file system. I can browse the folder using a file exporer and double clicking will open the website. That way does not work for me. If I go to paper.dropbox.com my documents are almost (99,9% gone) gone and all of my folder structure is completely gone. There is one single document. If I click on that I see the document and a sidebar that contains my folders (along with the rest of dropbox - which is annoying, but apparantly the new way). What is REALLY annoying is that everytime I click on a document, the sidebare reposition content, and I can't see the real location without using the scroll bars. And I can't resize the the sidebar. This view is completely useless. I can't click through document because of this reloading and repositioning. And I am not mentioning the fact that it is also slow, because of the way it loads the documents and loads folder structures lazy. Is my Paper profile broken? Or is this the way it is supposed to work? I would much prefer to have the files and folders presented in a file manager tree view rather than having half of the screen taken up with preview thumbnails of recent files. The current layout is frustrating to work with, especially when working collaboratively as it encourages poor file management practices. I don't know what exactly has been changed, but being idle in a Dropbox folder on Web while working on a project (20-30 mins) causes issues with creating a new folder, or trying to move/copy/rename etc. It just freezes, and a refresh of the page keeps the page in a "loading" state. You have to fully close the tab and load Dropbox afresh for it to work again. Very, very, very annoying and it ruins the entire workflow. Having to navigate through all folders again to get back to where I was. Also please allow this "suggestion" for where you want to move/copy something to be toggled on/off, because it hasn't provided me the correct location once and it always loads in late causing a missclick...34Views0likes4CommentsPerformance issues with a Team account on the website
Hi everyone, This is my first post here, so I’ll start with a brief introduction. My team and I run a photo- and videography company based in Amsterdam. We rely heavily on Dropbox for uploading and previewing files in our daily workflow. For years, we used individual accounts, and while not perfect, things were manageable. However, earlier this year, we decided to upgrade to a Dropbox Team account (5 members), hoping for better collaboration and streamlined processes. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but smooth. From day one, we noticed significant performance issues. The most critical problem is uploading files through the browser. Often, when we try to upload, nothing happens—the page stays stuck in a "loading" state. Refreshing either freezes everything or causes chaos: files start uploading randomly, sometimes double, and often to the wrong folder. We then have to wait for uploads to finish and manually move files to their intended location. This process is extremely time-consuming and frustrating. Previewing files (photos/videos) has also become a nightmare. Sometimes previews load instantly, but more often, we’re stuck refreshing repeatedly, waiting 30-60 seconds per file. It feels like a lottery whether a preview will work at all. These issues weren’t present when we used individual accounts, and it almost seems like Dropbox Team accounts operate on overloaded servers or an entirely different system. We've done all the standard troubleshooting and tested other storage providers to rule out hardware or internet issues—everything works fine except Dropbox. We're using top-tier hardware and the best internet speeds available in Amsterdam. To be clear, I’m not looking for "contact support" suggestions. We've already been down that road. Unfortunately, Dropbox support tends to focus on basic troubleshooting ("Have you tried restarting your computer?") rather than addressing the root cause. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues with Dropbox Team accounts? Are these known problems, or is it just us? Honestly, if this persists, we may need to reconsider our storage provider.
