The virtual links to download dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/download https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64 sometimes (like once in 30 tries) redirect automatically to the latest BETA build instead of the latest STABLE build. No clue why, but watch these for a couple of minutes and you'll probably see build 238.3.5977 appear while true ; do curl -sI "https://www.dropbox.com/download" | grep '^location: https:' ; sleep 1.5 ; done or while true ; do curl -sI "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | grep '^location: https:' ; sleep 1.5 ; done41Views0likes5CommentsHow to view the full date in a directory listing on the site?
Device Web Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Firefox/Chrome MacOS Question or Issue How do I view full dates, not relative dates, when listing files and folders? So basically: <filename> <type> <2025-11-30 21:55> Not "one hour ago" nor "six months ago" Relative dates mean nothing to my use cases.28Views0likes2CommentsAccessing the Dropbox site disables my internet connection
I have never seen anything like this. I visit http://www.dropbox.com I donât even have to log in. I just browse around then shortly thereafter my whole internet connection is down but working perfectly fine on all other devices! The issue is definitely drop box as it is completely repeatable every time I visit drop box. It also happens when I download the Dropbox app from the App Store. The issue does not happen if I donât visit drop box. itâs so frustrating that a virus maker could learn a thing or two from Dropbox on how to make malware. I need help to resolve this.Solved1.5KViews3likes37CommentsRecruiting: rejected for inability to hire in Zone 2 when position is advertised as Zone 2/3
Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this but this seemed like best place. I applied for the Staff Product Manager, Dash Growth (https://jobs.dropbox.com/listing/6983636) position, and the first line states: For this role, we are hiring in Zones 2 and 3. Which is great, because I live in Zone 2 (Colorado). I later received a rejection email Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to hire for Staff Product Manager, Dash Growth in your location and are not able to move forward with your candidacy at this time. Is there a bug in the ATS incorrectly rejecting viable candidates vis a vis geography, or is it something else? I can visit dropbox.com on my phone perfectly fine. Al other websites I visit are fine but the second I go to Dropbox it breaks. Device (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11, Firefox 143.0.4) Question or Issue I recently created a new Dropbox Basic account for work purposes, and whenever I log in via the web interface, I see a small black box with a rocket icon in the lower-left corner. It invites me to complete a âFirst Stepsâ or onboarding checklist. The issue is that there seems to be no option to dismiss or skip this tutorial. Clicking the box only opens a list of suggested actions (like sharing a folder), but I canât mark them as completed manually or close the checklist. Since Iâve been using Dropbox for over ten years, this tutorial is unnecessary and mostly just takes up screen space. Could you please provide a way to dismiss or permanently hide the onboarding rocket for experienced users? If this isnât currently possible, Iâd appreciate it if you could forward this as feedback to the design team â Iâm sure many long-time users who create new accounts for work or collaboration are running into the same annoyance. Thank you for your help,102Views0likes5Comments"Content Not Published - Your post contains invalid HTML" error when copy pasting text on the web.
Device (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11, Firefox 143.0.4) Question or Issue I just tried to report a problem on the Web UI. When copying texts from another web window, and after writing the message, I receive the error message "Content Not Published - Your post contains invalid HTML". So Dropbox suddenly decides to throw up a modal window THAT CANNOT BE CLOSED on my macbook screen to tell me I'm out of space and stopped sync-ing? Which idiot thought that was a good idea? I literally have to start Activity Monitor with it sitting in the middle of the screen and move AM around so I can force kill it. What better way to piss off your customers? DROPBOX - PLEASE REMOVE THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!319Views0likes14Comments
