GUI
90 TopicsSync icons are missing in Explorer on Windows 10
The green icons next to files and folders signifying whether file(s) are on-line or off-line only are no lonher displaring. It was at one time showing a green checkmark or an empty cloud icon, now, nothing. When I rigt click on the file, the dropdown menu still give me the option to choose whether to make available on-line only or local. I'm running Win 10 on a Lenovo T530 Laptop. Any help would be apptrciated. Thanks.Solved36Views0likes8CommentsFile manager view on the Dropbox site
I would much prefer to have the files and folders presented in a file manager tree view rather than having half of the screen taken up with preview thumbnails of recent files. The current layout is frustrating to work with, especially when working collaboratively as it encourages poor file management practices. I want my Dropbox interface to be clear and functional, not fun.132Views2likes3CommentsHow can I collapse the Dropbox folder in the navigation pane on Windows 11?
Each time I start Win11 and I open a new window in Explorer View, the Dropbox folder is completely expanded in the Navigation Pane. As I have a lot of subfolders, it takes all the vertical space, and this is very inconvenient. Is there a way to default the Dropbox folder to be collapsed (as all the others normally are), and only expanding it when needed by clicking on the > sign at the left of it?Solved330Views0likes6CommentsHow can I add the Size column on the Dropbox site?
Hi everyone, When I view files and fodlers on Dropbox Web, I couldn't add a column file size (or find in Dropbox setting) so that i can quickly know the size of those files. I wonder is there any way we can do that? Any files not used for a couple of days are no longer accessible and have a strange graphic next to the icon. I'd be grateful for a solution to this problem. I can't upload the screenshots here! Don't know why.210Views0likes5CommentsDropbox Photos tab loads forever on the site or mobile app
When I attempt to view the Photos tab in either theDropbox app, or on Dropbox web, it loads indefinitely. The loading bar cycles through its usual loading messages until it says “Almost there …” then loads no matter how long I wait. It is possible the issue may be due to the fact I recently removed a training data folder containing a very high number of images (~500,000) and now it's in a re-indexing loop, or something like that. It's been a week since that event. How can I fix this, so I can view all of my photos in one place again?147Views0likes1CommentIt's confusing when removing and managing devices on the iOS app
I was trying to update my account and clean up old devices today, and the icons on the screen to manage devices on the iOS app are confusing. They look like they should be to drag things up and down, but in reality there’s a drawer to drag left or you can tap to unlink the device. It doesn’t really make any sense and is unintuitive.142Views0likes1CommentFix actions overlay covering up comments in RTL languages
When commenting on a shared file, the comments are being overlayed by the action buttons on hover, so when hovering to resolve a comment you cant see if its the right comment. this is only an issue on RTL languages where the text start from the right and the overlay is on the right too. The Comment: Covered by the action buttons:1KViews0likes20CommentsMacOS Sonoma: Can't see the Dropbox menu bar to open the GUI
I have no Dropbox menu icon (running macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 on an Apple M1 Pro). Dropbox is syncing. So following the advice here https://help.dropbox.com/installs/system-tray-menu-bar (Note: after reinstall I was not prompted to login to my account) I've killed Dropbox to be able to reinstall it - still no menu icon. Dropbox is syncing. I pay for Dropbox. The real problem I'm trying to solve is how to modify my "selective sync" options ... but I'm going down a rabbit hole ... The blocker is - I can't open the Dropbox GUI - apparently the menu bar is the only way to open this (!!) and the icon isn't showing. - I had to kill Dropbox to be able to re-install it - Re-installing ... still no GUI icon ... dropbox.py would have been a good workaround - dropbox.py tells me "Dropbox isn't running" - Dropbox is actually running and syncing ...Solved547Views0likes5Comments
