Are you able to access that Plus account, in order to contact the support team on this matter?

2 years agoHi joliet_tech, are you 100% certain that the email is spelled the exact same way? For certain email providers like Gmail, you can add a dot in the name to make it a different account entirely, for instance Johnsmith@gmail.com is different to John.smith@gmail.com when it comes to Dropbox.

The are the same. I checked the login again now (as stranger things have happened).

I license is listed as a trial license while the other is shown as a Plus account. Also, when I first encountered this, the Plus license showed that it was connected to 5 devices. As a troubleshooting step at that time, I logged out. When I logged back in (and ever since) it is only shown connected to 1 device.

The issue is resolved and many questions answered The core of the issue was I had entered the wrong email address (one character was in error). While I admit this was my error, I think that the Dropbox team should not accept an email address without a password. I had a very complex password but Dropbox treated it as a valid login.
