I am a big dropbox user, and trying to install Dropbox on my laptop. But it won't do it: it offers me the chance to install it via S mode, but then tellls me that is impossible too. Any help grateful appreciated!

Thanks for posting on the forum, Peter Liddel!

What happens exactly if you attempt to download and install the desktop app on your device from this link? Any screenshots you can provide are greatly appreciated.

Keep me posted for any updates.

Thanks for your reply and advice. Everything works ok: I download the instaler.exe, I allow it to make changes, it initialises, it downloads, the download completes, then after a while of trying to install it tells me that my device is incompatible. IT's odd, because I am running Windows 11 Home (not in S-mode), and I have switched off S-mode in the Microsoft Store. I don't want to download the Dropbox Lite as that lacks the features I need. Any other advice very welcome, and thank you again!

Hey Peter Liddel, I know this might sound trivial, but can you check again and make sure that these are the steps you followed, to switch out of the S mode?

Once that's done, can you try to restart your device, please?

Thanks for this: I think I am out of S mode: see below for what Store tells me. I'll try restarting now...

Hey Peter Liddel, sorry to jump in, but could you clarify your device's processor? Is it an INTEL processor or an ARM one perhaps?

Thanks for the suggestion. I think it's a Qualcomm Snapdragon. Does that make sense?
