If you haven’t been prompted to update and would like to be on the updated Dropbox Backup, you can do so by disabling Dropbox Backup, restarting the Dropbox app, and then re-enabling Dropbox Backup.
is "disabling Dropbox Backup" pausing dropbox?

Pausing the Dropbox app means that you'd pause its syncing, but disabling your computer backup only affects your backup and the Dropbox app will continue syncing during the process.
To disable the Dropbox Backup, you’ll need to follow these steps.
Restarting your Dropbox app is the step after that, which you can do this way.
Hope that clarifies things a bit.

hello --- thanks for your reply, so if I "disable" the current backup that is in effect, wil folders that how "live" inside of the dropbox folder revert to there orginal location in %userprofile% ???
