Re: Folders and files not being shared on multiple devices

When I check on line, there are files and folders on 1 pc but nothing on the other.  I am on dropbox.com for both. I am  using the same email for both.  This makes no sense.

Let me clarify, if I check dropbox.com on 1 pc, there are files and folders.  If I check dropbox.com on the other pc, there are NO files or folders.  I am using the same email in both cases.  HELP.

Hi joliet_tech, are you 100% certain that the email is spelled the exact same way? For certain email providers like Gmail, you can add a dot in the name to make it a different account entirely, for instance Johnsmith@gmail.com is different to John.smith@gmail.com when it comes to Dropbox.

The are the same.  I checked the login again now (as stranger things have happened).

I license is listed as a trial license while the other is shown as a Plus account.  Also, when I first encountered this, the Plus license showed that it was connected to 5 devices.  As a troubleshooting step at that time, I logged out.  When I logged back in (and ever since) it is only shown connected to 1 device.

Are you able to access that Plus account, in order to contact the support team on this matter?

The issue is resolved and many questions answered  The core of the issue was I had entered the wrong email address (one character was in error).  While I admit this was my error, I think that the Dropbox team should not accept an email address without a password.   I had a very complex password but Dropbox treated it as a valid login.
