I have completely uninstalled the Dropbox app and reinstalled version 208.4.5824 using the provided link. However, Dropbox only runs immediately after installation. Upon rebooting, I consistently encounter the error message "Dropbox has unexpectedly quit," preventing the app from launching or synchronizing. During the reboot process, the Dropbox icon appears on the taskbar a couple of times before disappearing, followed by the error message.
I suspect that this issue might be related to a conflict with Adobe Creative Cloud, as both applications provide cloud storage services. Although our company has used both Adobe and Dropbox products on two PCs for the past 10 years without any problems, both machines have started experiencing this exact issue simultaneously.
Please note that both Adobe Creative Cloud and Dropbox (version 208.4.5824) are fully updated. I'm concerned that if Dropbox cannot provide a solution, we may need to explore alternative cloud storage options.

2 years agoDoes the issue persist when you temporarily close the Adobe app completely H. Hanyang?

I've tried deactivating all running Adobe-related apps in the background, but the issue persists. Yesterday, when an Adobe PDF update ran, Dropbox temporarily started and synchronization worked. However, after restarting Windows, Dropbox is not starting again.

Thanks for the additional details H. Hanyang
Can you maybe try creating a new OS profile on your computer with admin privileges and try to install the Dropbox desktop app there, and let us know if the issue crops up again?

Hello H. Hanyang
Maybe I can help with this. Could you please send a screenshot of the error message "Dropbox has unexpectedly quit" to see how it looks visually? That could be a helpful indicator of what to do next.
Thanks,
Andrew (DBoxTips)

I'm Korean. The error message is also in Korean. I've attached a screenshot.

The error message means the following
Dropbox has crashed unexpectedly.
Your files are secure. Please restart Dropbox to resume syncing and other functions. - Nancy2 years ago

H. Hanyang, regarding your previous post, keep in mind that Walterโs previous suggestion to set up a new user profile on your computer with admin rights is purely for troubleshooting reasons and we donโt expect you to have a separate profile to run the Dropbox app.
If you try this step though and it doesnโt help or if you canโt test this, let us know and weโll further assist.

Thank you for the details H. Hanyang. That is helpful because it means that Dropbox is crashing internally due to a known reason, as opposed to an external startup crash. I can help with further troubleshooting this for you or Dropbox support could assist you if you open a ticket.
