Question or Issue
Drobox stopped working on all three of my computers.  I worked with the AI bot and FINALLY got it working on my main computer by moving my Dropbox folder to a different location, THEN pointed to that location during the advanced install. All was well.... for a few days. Then again dropbox wanted to install itself again, and the system tray icon is missing.  When I view System > Apps > Dropbox there is an entry for Dropbox, but there is no size indicator beside it as all the other apps have.  Clicking the three dots only gives the option to uninstall.  Clicking the Program Icon takes me to my Dropbox folder on my computer.  But it just looks like the folder in explorer.  I have completely uninstalled OneDrive from my computer.

I've enjoyed dropbox for years, but am almost ready to give up on it.

This appears to be a new bug. I am affected as well, and so are others.

In Taskbar Settings > Other system tray icons, there are two Dropbox entries you can toggle. One of them is turned off. Turning it on makes everything work as expected again, at least temporarily.

Thanks for your post, Lisa K.11

Just to make sure I got this right; you can’t see the Dropbox icon in your system tray, even if you double click on the Dropbox app that you see in System > Apps. Does this sound correct?

If yes, can you send me a screenshot of what you see when going to your System > Apps?

Finally, I’d like to know if you started having issues with your Dropbox app after a specific Dropbox or OS update.

    We’ll go from there.
