The Dropbox menu shows under a different Dropbox path on my Mac, and not the one shown under "Sync".

Yes.

And it happen to be sync icons in these folder of an account i dont use anymore

and i dont think im using any 3rd party apps... can you give me some examples of some who might be causing issues?

If you go to the "account" tab of the Dropbox app preferences, which account do you see linked there?

Does it show your previous job's account or the correct one?
