2 years agoHey PeteHutch, thanks for your post.
Can you let us know what the Dropbox sync status and version is on this Windows 11 laptop, compared to your other computers?
You can see this info by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Hannah,
I sent this reply a few hours ago but it seemed to disappear.
I have looked at the Dropbox sync status and version on three other computers, namely a Windows 10 desktop, a Windows 11 desktop and a Windows 10 laptop. On all of them the sync status is 'Up to date'. Also, on all of them the version is 212.4.5767. On my new Windows 11 laptop the sync status is also 'Up to date', but the version is 211.4.6008. I presume that is an older version, but it was downloaded from your website only yesterday. I can't see a way of updating it. In any event, according to your website updates should happen automatically.
What next?

Hey Peter! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in. It’s true that the desktop app should be updated automatically.
Since it’s currently running an older app version though, you can try to manually update it via this link. Let me know if that seems to help.

Hi Nancy,
Pleasingly, updating the app has done the trick. There is just one small problem though - the two folders, 'Browse in Dropbox' and 'Open in File Explorer', which appear when you click on the Dropbox icon in File, Open, in an Office app, do not show the above text. They only show their icons. I can manage without the text as I know what they are. It may well be the sort of problem which goes away with the passage of time and future updates.
Many thanks for your help.
