Dropbox Product Manager
2 years agoDo you access your Dropbox content on other apps outside of the Dropbox app? Feedback appreciated!

Hi Emily,
I predominantly use Android and Ubuntu Linux. After trying several cloud storage solutions I chose Dropbox because I liked the Linux desktop application.
However, I'm not too impressed with the android application. My main uses for Dropbox on android are accessing my Obsidian vault and for syncing photos, and videos. Media sync is workable, but Obsidian is a bust.
To be clear, I'm not asking for integrations between the Obsidian application and dropbox, I just want read/write access to my Dropbox data from outside of the Dropbox application.
Here is a 3rd party application with over 1 million downloads that provides this functionality; 3rd Party link removed as per Community Guidelines
Why isn't this available through the official app?
Cheers,
Jake
