Paper by Dropbox to be discontinued?
I'm seeing a number of posts across social media speculating that Dropbox Paper is to be discontinued. As there has been no Paper by Dropbox app update for 2+ years (since Version 262.2), and because of general user discontent regarding the infamous 2020 update, this rumour seems to be gathering momentum. Could somebody confirm what we should expect (and when) before I start scouting for alternative platforms? Many thanks!
Within Dropbox (not Dropbox Paper) do you have a new "Migrated Paper Docs" folder? That's where all of my docs were migrated to, after I was upgraded to the new Paper version.

Bugs absolutely everywhere and ineffectual technical and customer support. Note: once again I apologise to Dropbox Staff — I am aware that this is not your fault. It is disgraceful how Dropbox have abandoned their loyal users.

Dear Khandy, I completely share your frustration. Until technical support can come up with something better than -our specialized team is actively looking into this- and -I've gone ahead and raised the priority of your communication to high- I think we can safely assume that Paper is quickly approaching a terminal condition. It is a shame because before the migration catastrophe it was a good solid product. When you find a more serious alternative I would be grateful if you could share it. Good luck with everything.

I'm rooting for you. After three weeks of not being able to have access to files I need for daily operations, I'm vetting new alternatives. I have found better features that Paper don't have. The lack of accountability for the company is overwhelming.

Dear Nancy
Many thanks for getting back to me. Can I ask you to answer a simple question? If DB Paper is not going to be discontinued, can someone in your team explain why there hasn't been an update to the App for over 2 years. That is 2 YEARS. And also why there is so much user discontent?
The general consensus is that Paper is absolutely dreadful these days. NONE of the links work on the App (on the desktop version they work fine). Last year all of the images in my files disappeared (on the App) for a few months — I wrote dozens of emails to tech support but they were unable to fix it (or more likely couldn't be bothered). I am not able to locate many of my files since the infamous 2020 update. Please do not ask me to send screenshots, or tell me that the DB specialized engineering team is working to fix issues — I simply do not believe it.
I am aware that this is nothing to do with you or your colleagues, so please forgive the tone of this message, but I am absolutely fed up with the lousy service. I have invested a considerable amount of time and money during many years as a Dropbox user. I would appreciate a contact email address of somebody with the authority to give me an honest explanation of the situation.

I don't see any of my past files in dropbox paper today when I try logging in. I see some things have been moved to drobox and in my events, it shows I created a lot of folders yesterday that I haven't. Something very weird is going on.

This is great news! Paper is really a good product and with would be great if it got some more attention.

This has been an ongoing for over two weeks. It has been very frustrating and disappointing. I have lost over 50+ documents that have left me starting over from scratch in various sectors. I have had two tickets open, one escalated and nothing has come of this. The migration was a total failure. The app doesn’t work, neither does click on “create go to documents and hover to see if paper” is an option. Well, it’s not. I really hate that I cheated on Zoho Notebook for Dropbox Paper and this is now my reality.
