Could you clarify if you're trying to upgrade your account through the app store on a mobile device or if through the website directly?
A screenshot of the exact error would be much appreciated!

HI I have the exact same issue. Out of the blue I suddenly got an out of space even though on my apple subscription it says premium. but it's linked to an old company email. But that never stopped me having access to the premium account before

It looks like you're paying for another Dropbox account with this Apple ID.
You're unable to upgrade in the app at this time, but visit dropbox.com/
support for more help.
and I can't contact support as when I use my main email it says don't have premium

Are you signed in using that company email address? The subscription follows the email.
