After seven emails and eleven days I finally got Dropbox to accept a payment for my account. The form wouldn't complete for some reason, but I've got email confirmation from PayPal that the payment had gone through However, Dropbox, hasn't accepted this payment and tells me I need to upgrade. How do I resolve this? I can't email support because according to them, I'm on a free plan.29Views0likes5CommentsWhich plan is better suited for us to support some features?
Hi there! We want to store regular files, pictures, as well as medical files that require protection (HIPAA). A storage size of 1-2 TB will be enough. A regular link will be enough for us to display regular files and images. But for protected files, it is necessary that the link is always generated new and valid for a certain amount of time, as long as we specify, for example. The number of users is 1. I don't see the point in more. The data will be uploaded to the storage through it. Which plan would be optimal for my request? Thanks!Solved43Views1like5CommentsCreated new acct w/ other email & now I canât go back nor upgrade the one with all my files.
I accidentally created a new acct with my Apple ID a short while back due to forgetting which email this acct was connected to and didnât realize pressing âsign in with appleâ would immediately sign me up. Iâm not sure what happened but my subscription somehow switched to the other account and I canât switch it back. Iâve been getting notifications that my subscription on this account has been switched to basic and Iâm way over so my files will be deleted soon, but thereâs an error every time I try to restore the 2,000GB plan. Iâm freaking out that my files from the last 8 years will disappear.12Views0likes1CommentUser experience and suggestion for upgrading to an individual plan.
Dear Dropbox Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share a few suggestions that I believe could greatly enhance the user experience on your platform. Firstly, Iâve noticed that when files are shared via a link, there is currently no search functionality available for the recipient. As Dropbox is often used to share large volumes of data and multiple files, locating a specific document without a search option can be quite time-consuming. Introducing a search feature within shared links would significantly improve usability and efficiency for end-users. Secondly, I would like to suggest reconsidering the current storage limit for free users. Increasing the free storage from 2GB to at least 50GBâor ideally 100GBâcould set Dropbox apart from its competitors. Such an offering would encourage users to build a habit of storing their data exclusively on Dropbox. Once they reach the 100GB threshold, many would likely opt for a paid plan to retain access and continue using the service. To mitigate account duplication, measures could be implemented to restrict users from creating multiple free accounts. If youâre open to further user-based insights, I would be happy to share additional suggestions or assist you in any professional capacity. Thank you for considering my feedback. I look forward to seeing how Dropbox continues to evolve. Warm regards, Noman13Views0likes1CommentHow can I buy a Dropbox subscription for a friend so I can send them photos?
I want to share one folder of thousands of photos with her. When I sent her a link to the folder, she started saving photos one at a time to her cellphone and quickly ran out of room. She said that's the only way she can keep viewing them... Does the link expire? I don't want her on a Family Plan because I keep my Journal in Drop Box--very personal info dating from 1961 to the present. She can't afford to buy a Drop Box account of her own, so I'd like to buy one in her name (I'll pay the monthly or yearly fee). Can I do this simply by using her email address? TIA29Views0likes5CommentsHow can I can see what files occupy most of my space in Dropbox?
I upgraded my plan to have more space but when I realised that I do not need it anymore I downgraded to Basic (free). From that day i am getting emails all the time that my account is in danger because I am using more space that I was supposed to. So in order to comply with the limited space of the free plan, i am looking to erase files that occupy large space in my account but it seems that I cannot find any. Assuming that photos and videos are the types of files which occupy more space, I deleted almost eveything but the account says that I am using 6 Terrabites which is false. Can someone explain me what is going on?35Views0likes3CommentsI'm getting a monthly charge for a free account.
Good Morning! I have had quite the time navigating the DropBox site as I am being charged monthly for a the basic membership which is free. And with this membership, email support is not included. How can I remedy this issue? Thanks! :-)Solved73Views0likes4CommentsI've paid for a plan, but my account doesn't reflect the upgrade. No reply to ticket raised.
I use DropBox for our charity documentation and paid for a plan with charity funds, yet this is not reflecting on the account as it still is a free account. I have opened a ticket via email with the details of the payment, yet I've had no response and I'm starting to become frustrated with this lack of customer service.63Views0likes6CommentsUpgrading but already have Dropbox Sign
Does anyone know if Dropbox has a sales team that we can actually talk to? I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade from a Dropbox Basic to Dropbox Plus, but have a question that I'm not finding the answer to and the AI bots are useless for this. I just paid for Dropbox Sign, but I see that Dropbox Plus includes Dropbox Sign (or at least something that sounds like it: "edit PDFs and get signatures", so I'm wondering if I can get some kind of credit for having already paid for a feature in Dropbox Plus. Ironically, in order to make this decision, I need to talk to someone, but the basic plan only includes chatbot, community and help center, so I'm in a bit of a catch 22. Does anyone here happen to know how to find out the answer to my question?12Views0likes2Comments
