I paid for a Plus plan via iDEAL, but I don't see my upgrade just yet.

I just paid for an upgrade on my subscription via iDEAL from basic to plus, but my account is not updated accordingly…. It keeps telling me I need to upgrade

If iDEAL is like a bank transfer, it could take a couple days for the transaction to finalize. Dropbox likely doesn't see the completed transaction yet.

ideal is a realtime transfer with immidiate confirmation…. So would be strange it takes a couple of days.

I've seen it mentioned many, many times on various sites that iDEAL payments can often take days to settle, and not just for Dropbox. Even Google's AI overview offers similar information.
iDEAL payments are usually fast but can get delayed due to bank holidays, technical glitches (like loading issues), or specific merchant/payment provider processing, often resolving within 1-3 business days ...
I'd give it a day and then reach out to Support if you don't see any movement. Once you do, reply back here with the ticket number and a Dropboxer may be able to check the ticket for you.
