Changing billing from Google Play to Dropbox

I would like to change my subscription billing so that it no longer goes through Google Play and is directly handled through Dropbox. I am worried about a lapse in coverage if I unsubscribe on Google Play. Will I be able to update my subscription and payment information on Dropbox without worry of losing anything once my Google Play subscription has expired?

    Hi jdburke89

    Yes you will 🙂

You may notice that syncing stops after the lapse from Google when your account downgrades, but, it will restart as soon as you then upgrade again via Dropbox 🙂

I have been trying to upgrade my subscription, I signed up via Google Play so I must upgrade using Google play. When I try it says there is a billing change pending for Sept 2024 an wont allow me.

Does anyone know how I can switch to direct billing with Dropbox?

Hey Hollywood78, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

When was your last renewal? Are you still on an active Google Play subscription?

If so, you'll actually need to cancel that one, wait until your account is downgraded (temporarily) and then re-upgrade directly through Dropbox.

No files will be lost during this time, of course, only syncing will be paused until you re-upgrade.

    I hope this helps!
