Dropbox Basic, Plus and Professional accounts are intended for a single user, allowing them to sync multiple devices. While it's possible for more than one person to share an individual account, it's a security risk to do so. Anyone with access to the account can take it over for themselves.

The rules on this have changed since the initial thread was made in 2021. It is against the Terms of Dropbox to have multiple people on one account. Using this as such can cause an account to be disabled which results in it being lost including all data and not recoverable.
For your project to work you need individual accounts upgraded accordingly.

Thank you Mark
The upgrading of individual accounts is highly unlikely to happen so I guess the best option for me is to choose the "file request" option where I shall minimize the number of links I plan on sharing with them.
Cheers!

File requests actually works really well - *whispers* its one of the upgrades to Dropbox I really do like! 🙂
