Smaller Pop Ups on Smaller Screens

I regularly share folders with clients and people I'm collaborating with. Especially folks within corporate organizations usually have now dropbox account and are working on smaller screens or laptops. Opening a dropbox link on that confronts you with at least 3 pop ups or bars for logging in, which all stand in the way of the content I want to share.

Similarly for the banner on top for which I integrated my branding. As it's a relative banner that scrolls with the content, using it on a smaller screen means that it's in the way of the content and files.

I've spoken with the team about this and it is something they're tweaking at the moment.

We're currently trying to find the right balance with everything but hopefully we'll be rolling out some changes soon.

Yes please. Or better yet, remove all possible popups.

    Hi phjsw,

Thanks for letting us know, I'd like to look into this further.

In regards to the banner that does not scale properly to the size of your screen, could you send a screenshot so I can get a better idea of what we're dealing with?

    Hi Neal,

    Thanks for looking into this.

In this screenshot I've marked 4 parts that are obscuring the actual content for which a user is accessing a link. I get why there has to be a banner for cookies, however I feel like the remainig space could be optimized by having elements such as the top banner or the branded banner not as relative elements that keep staying there while scrolling.

Especially when using a smaller screen as in this example, only half of the real estate of the site is being used to display the content that is important. I think the ratio should be way higher as the content is more important than the tool I'm sharing it with.

    Great to hear that!

In my case, I'm working as a photographer and filmmaker, which means I'm delivering visual content and I'd love to present that to my clients in the best way possible.
