Change Primary Email
Our company dropbox was created by our Project Manager, who is now leaving the company. He has been trying to change the primary account to my email but it keeps telling him that the email address is...

He needs to log on to that account (use the www.dropbox.com/forgot tool to get a password on it) and either change the email on it first OR delete it before going back to the initial account and changing it

Thanks for responding so fast. I did not have a dropbox account until he tried to add me as the primary account holder. Then I was sent an email to verify it and in order to do so, it said I needed to create an account. But when I did, I didn't get any of the documents and it was as if an entirely new dropbox was created. Maybe there is an easier way to do this but we just have so many files and we aren't sure how to proceed to change account admin.

Hey Ka2Dueck, are you all on a Dropbox Business team or does each of you have their own individual account?
In any case, Mark is right on what he said.
If the message says that the email is being used, then that email is already associated with a Dropbox account.
Have you logged in to Dropbox using that email, to see what kind of account that is, if it has any files in it, etc.?
If there's nothing in it, you can just delete it, to free up the email and use it for the "admin" account.
