How can I access live chat for support?
where can i find the Live chat on my account??
If you have a Business account, it will be available through the support tools in your Admin console. If you have a Personal account that includes chat support, you can just go to the usual Support URL and the Live Chat option will be listed if it's available to you.

Jump right in, Megan (sorry to steer so far from Live Chat)! I thought so too (by def'n: resume, not restart).
- Syncing [file name]
- Desktop (Mac) v. 178.4.4811
Thanks!

3 years agoHi from me too, JEToronto!
Just to clarify, is your desktop app syncing a specific file each time / the last file you added to your Dropbox account or does it start syncing from the start a large amount of files instead?

Hi Nancy too! One-file-at-a-time type (ADSL) here.
Let's say: 8pm upload one 500mB file (i.e. drag into Dropbox folder) - 11pm pause sync @ 250 remaining, shutdown Mac - next 8am restart Mac, resume sync... but back to 500 to go 😬 (Think minor-Sisyphus)
Hope this answers what you asked.
And to be clearer: on previous few occasions, not "this just happened/what's going on!?"
Appreciate the attention!

Hi again Hannah!
I've not had need to download, to pause/resume - hope that's what you meant.
Nor a folder of files at once.
Just a thought: is there a cookie for upload progress in Desktop app?
Anyway, nbd: ok to shutdown only when upload completes, and not paying for extra traffic.
Sure hope this has been helpful to others (?).
