Recipients are getting notifications to open a file that's malware. How can we stop this?
Boss's account got hacked and there was a file being sent out to view that was malware. Changed password on account but recipients are receiving reminders to open the file. How do I stop this remin...

Just to clarify, has the file in question been deleted from your boss’s Dropbox account already?
Are there any unknown devices linked to their Dropbox account, if they visit this page?
Let me know when you have more info.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, we really don't know what the file (if there was one) as it was just a phishing attempt to acquire credentials. I don't see anything in his folders that have a recent date on them. He has no unknown devices. There is a possibility of another account as well. [removed per Community Guidelines]

Thanks for providing more info, barryw! So, to clarify, you’ve checked both Dropbox accounts and there’s no sign of the file in question, correct?
You can also try to find it by using the search bar on www.dropbox.com or double check the Shared tab here for both accounts.
Other than that, if you have a screenshot of the notifications the recipients keep receiving, please make sure to send it over (just remove any personal info that may be showing first).
