Account deleted by my old business partner. Can I restore it?

I did figure it out, it was synced with to an old client. They deleted it to make space... They restored it.
Phew...
Only issue now is when I try to log in its sending the login code to my old work email which I don't have access too.

You mentioned that at some point you realized that your work email was used for your personal account. Do you remember if perhaps your business partner invited you to join their team?
Do you notice any errors when trying to sign into the account, or does it prompt you to set up a new account?
Keep in mind that if the account was indeed deleted, there's not much that we can do about it.
If your business partner invited you to join their Dropbox team and then removed you, they might have access to some of the files. However, that'd only happen if they chose to transfer your data, when removing you.
